Firewall blocking ports from an APP
« on: November 15, 2018, 08:24:40 PM »
I have one application on my main PC which I set up an Avast Exclusion for and it works ok.

I test this application locally from my PC to verify it is working with this call from my Firefox browser:
http://localhost:32111
It works ok.

My application uses several ports which are:
32111 through 32118

To test this application from my Android tablet I have to bring up Firefox on the tablet and call the application with:
http://my IP Addr here:32111

The problem is that Avast is blocking this port.

I contacted support for the payware application I am using.

I was told to turn off Avast components to see if they were blocking the APP from connecting from my Android tablet.

The Firewall is blocking the app.

I need to know what to do to to stop Avast from blocking the APP/ports in the Avast Firewall?

Is your firewall network profile in puplic or private mode? Does it work if you change?

Chief,

Thanks for the reply.
It was in Public and changing it to Private fixed the problem.

Have a good day.
