False Positive > 50Mb
« on: November 20, 2018, 05:12:56 AM »
Hello,

We are a small company editing a 3D software, and we encounter a lot of problems with Avast since your antivirus flags our exe as a malware.

If I scan the file on VirusTotal, all anti viruses except yours and AVG are reporting our soft as harmful and it tarnishes our reputation.

It is not possible to submit a file larger than 50Mb under the below link:
https://www.avast.com/whitelist-program-application

It is also not possible to get an account to submit via FTP under this link:
https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/160/

Could you please help us with getting our software whitelisted?

Regards,

Guillaume

W32:Evo-gen [susp] = Suspicious

post link (not screenshot) to virustotal scan result, then avast team can see the SHA-256 or MD5 and fetch the file from VT

Thanks, that seems fixed.
It seemed that AVG was fixed too. You share the same base?

Since 2016, Avast owns AVG. :)
