AD SAFE
« on: December 05, 2018, 01:19:56 PM »
I read that AVAST is responsible for these absolutely horrendous popup ads on all my Ebay and Amazon pages. Where they get the balls to do this without telling me, by hiding it in other software is outrageous! I want it out of my computer. I've been using Avast for many years, and have loved it, but this is a deal breaker. If I have to remove Avast completely from my computer, I will, but I want these ads to STOP!

Well I have Avast Free and if anywhere there were likely to be Ads, I would have thought it would be on that, but I haven't seen any on Ebay or Amazon and I use those very frequently.

As Asyn said a screenshot/s would help us to investigate.

Questions:
1.  Are you using the Avast Online Security add-on in your browser ?
2.  What browser/s are you using ?
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

I don't use the Avast Secure Browser, isn't compatible with Win XP, so I won't use it on other systems, I try to stick with just one browser option.

So are you getting ads on both FF and Opera ?
If you are please post screenshots as suggested, we can't see what you see.
