Well I found this one,
https://support.avast.com/en-gb/article/Repair-Antivirus and it shows using the Modify option, and the next screen is incorrect. To get that screen the user would have to have selected Uninstall.
The 'uninstall' route just doesn't seem intuitive, most people might assume that you are going to be going down the uninstall route would result in an uninstall.
I'm sure some time ago, I used to use the Change when the two options in XP were Change/Uninstall and Repair was an option in the Change.
Me For all of the various windows options I have generally used the old school - Start > Control > (Add remove programs/Programs and Features, etc. etc.) to get to Avast Antivirus and Change/Modify. But with later Avast version it, Repair, seemed to be moved across to Uninstall.
I believe people fear these Action words, like Uninstall because they think that this is exactly what is going to happen, not give you a slew of other options or to be able to back out.
