Mix standalone and Managed clients
« on: December 15, 2018, 04:00:06 PM »
We bought 300 licences and want to deploy them in 4 different sites.
On some computers, we install the standalone with the provided key (xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx) but that doesn't work : it stays in trial mode.
Computers that have the management console installed seem to install correctly.
Can't we mix standalone and console based systems ?
Even on a fresh install of Windows the license key that was provided by Avast doesn't work and stays in trial mode.

In the momento of the purchase you have to decide if you want a managed or unmanaged enviroment.

The key code for a managed system (cloud or on-premise console) is not valid for stand-alone installations.

Curious as to why you would want to mix? The cloud environment makes it easy to manage small sites that otherwise would not have an on-premise management console.
