Can't Install because of Kaspersky files
« on: December 15, 2018, 11:37:09 PM »
I cannot install Avast thanks to it telling me there are Kaspersky files on the computer. There are not. Kaspersky has been uninstalled. Additionally, I have used a program called Funter to find any hidden Kaspersky files and have deleted those. I have restarted the computer. No luck. About to give up. Unless I hear back within 24 hours, I'll go looking for another security program. Can I recommend you change your captcha. Its illegible! A waste of my time.

Kaspersky can leave Remnants with typical uninstall. If there are any the tool will clean up

try to check the Kaspersky remnants from the Terminal.app . Type "kextstat | grep kaspersky". It should find the remnants that are blocking Avast from installation. You need to "kextunload" them.
Quality is also a feature.
