Mozilla says that in their KB and as workaround works well. If I dont disable the HTTPS scanning, I cant browse some pages in the last FF.

I don't know why there any new posts in this beta topic, considering this beta has been released as a regular update ?

Why would they still be on the beta when the regular program update has been released.  As we keep saying in other topics if you haven't got the latest version update and see if it has been resolved.

Avast certainly aren't going to make any changes in the old beta version when it is released to production.

Which gets me back on to favourite hobby horse, I hate the practice of retaining the beta program version number when it is released to the regular update channel.  It just causes confusion, how does one tell what they have when the version numbers are the same.

EDIT: Typo.

Hi Dave,

1. Some of us (beta testers) always stay on beta-channel.
2. I may correct you, BC differs from SC and gets updated more often.
3. Totally agree with that, a differentiation would be helpful.

1.  Yes, that was me until I did a clean reinstall to remain on the regular update channel.  Unless you were on the Alpha Channel (usually in house testing) any updates going on to the Beta Channel would surely result in a NEW topic announcing the new beta as has been the practice in the past (no secret beta versions ?).

2.  Those beta testers on the Beta Channel would be switched to the latest beta possibly earlier than the announcement in the forums.  But they certainly wouldn't be using the 'OLD' beta topic if it has indeed been updated/superseded, it wouldn't (or shouldn't) have the same version number as the OLD beta.

3.  The same version number has been going on for some time now, but it never used to be like this the regular release had a very small change in the last part of the version number.  End of confusion.

The only way to get off the Beta Channel, is to do a clean install of the regular version.

If I dont disable the HTTPS scanning, I cant browse some pages in the last FF.

If you want to keep HTTTPS scanning enabled, have you tried importing Avast's certificate?  Instructions at:  https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Troubleshoot-invalid-email-certificate

Only have worked with one of the sites. I have to uninstall the default root Avast certificate.

https://www.fayerwayer.com/ still dont work with the scanning enabled.
