Hi i've installed the latest version - 19.1.2360 Avast Internet Security. And since the update the antispam is not loading in outlook. But the option is selected to green. How i can put the spam bar in Outlook. I really would thank's for help regarding this situation.
My OS is Windows 10 and Office 10.
Thank you in advance and Happy New Year.
we will release a silent fix for this on Friday Jan 11
I have not seen any relief for this problem - how do I get the "silent fix"??????????
Silent fix will run if you've allowed AvastEmUpdate.exe to run on boot; also instup.exe must be allowed to run and you are connected to the internet.

Reboot is all you need to do if both conditions are valid and both are allowed to run on boot.  If not, you'll need to allow them to run.

Thanks for the reply! I have not done anything to block those files from executing but can you tell me where they might be allowed or blocked so I can investigate it?  I had this corrected in the recent past but it returned with an update from someone.

There isn't an on or off switch for these. If you turned them off, you would have had to either delete them or blocked them.

:o I'm so ready to uninstall Avast.  I had my settings manual update but it automatically updated.  Is there any way I can go back to the last version?

@bob3160  Why aren't you using  the new version?  Would you please answer my question?

Not updating my profile here on the forum doesn't have any relevance on updating to the latest version. :)
Thanks for the reminder.

My settings

Well those are the same as mine on my win10 system and I did have to do a manual program update.

:o I'm so ready to uninstall Avast.  I had my settings manual update but it automatically updated.  Is there any way I can go back to the last version?
<snip>

I don't know why this always seems to happen around program update time.

So its happened, why would you want to uninstall avast yet again.

Since that bridge has already been crossed, its on your system you have two choices:
1.  leave it,
2.  Uninstall it as you threatened " :o I'm so ready to uninstall Avast."

@bob3160  Why would I want to do that?  I would still get the latest version wouldn't I ?

The question already posed by myself "So its happened, why would you want to uninstall avast"
If you aren't having problems (and you haven't mentioned any) other than it having updated itself.

If you download the full off-line installation file when you know one is available and save it, you then have a fallback position to uninstall and use the off-line installation file to get back to the last version.  Either that or do what we have suggested on many occasions, do regular system backups so you can go back.

How would I find out when the full off line installer is available?  I have a hard time finding the different scans.  In fact it's hard to find anything.

I uninstalled Avast this morning, restarted my computer, then installed Avast again.  Now it's installing again and I don't understand how it could do this
