PDF:UrlMal [TRJ] on my Outlook
« on: January 12, 2019, 09:13:54 AM »
My Avast file system shield has blocked a trojan infected email that probably contains an infected PDF and gives me a PDF:UrlMal [TRJ] notification. It says the process is from Outlook.exe. I have deleted the listed email and PDF file on my Outlook, and on our company webmail, but I still keep getting the Avast pop-up that the infection is still there and it continues to block and isolate the same email and referenced PDF file name. Can anyone tell me how I can remove this trojan from my computer? The pop-up is annoying and I am out of ideas how to delete that infected mail/file when I have already deleted it. Thank you in advance!

This is not dangerous.

URL:Mal = Blacklisted URL or IP
PDF:UrlMal-inf [Trj] = pdf.doc that contain link to a blacklisted url

Have you tried a reboot after doing this?

If still a problem, try clear outlook sync / cashe and reboot

I rebooted, but it's still there.

If it's not dangerous, I'll just turn off the popup notification then because it is bloody annoying. Hopefully it won't cause problems in the future.

Thanks!
