Avast corrupted a Win 7 update
« on: January 16, 2019, 02:43:47 AM »
Hey all, just wanted to let everyone know to be careful about using Avast on Windows 7 -- the recent January update was corrupted by Avast (we confirmed this in the error logs), and it resulted in the machine not being able to network properly.

We uninstalled Avast, rolled back the update and applied it again, and everything works now. Unfortunately we'll have to switch to another protection software.
