I'm trying to help my uncle (who is not very computer-savvy) to retrieve his passwords after a computer meltdown
He bought a new computer and I copied over all his Firefox settings and reinstalled Avast from scratch.
He'd used Avast to change his passwords on a bunch of sites, and so doesn't know those passwords. So now he can't log into those sites anymore. I still have his old hard drive, though, so if I knew where they're stored maybe I could copy-paste them into the new computer like I did with his Firefox settings... or would that not work in this case?
Any thoughts on how to fix this?

PS. Forgot to mention he's on Windows... the new computer is 10, but I think that old hard drive (where the passwords would be located) was Win 8.
