Avast Secure Line VPN keeps reconnecting

I recently purchased the Avast Secure Line VPN.  It works well on one computer that is running Win 7.  However, on a laptop running Win 10, it continously keeps "reconnecting".  While the process only takes 20 seconds or so, the internet connection is off and causes loss of information.  Please help with solutions to resolve this problem.
