Question about - Exclude trusted(private) networks
« on: January 17, 2019, 04:08:12 PM »
Hey guys :)
I am suspect maybe my neighbor broke into my router SO until I got new router I am using Avast Secure Line VPN.
I want verify something, so my question about SETTINGS.
Settings>Network Security>
And there I have checkbox - Exclude trusted(private) networks.
My goal is Secure and Make Invisible My activities even on my OWN private network (because of maybe neighbor hacking my network).
So What I did I put V on checkbox of Exclude trusted(private) networks and mark my OWN network as public.
Is that right way?
Thanks

Public is for untrusted networks such as coffee shops, airports, etc.,.

Private is for home or internal enterprise networks.

Best option is to wait until you've fixed/replaced your router with one that is more secure than the one you have.
