just lost months of previous progress

thanks to an unwanted pop up from avast. i got thrown out of a program and lost all of today's progress and other progress that took month's to accumulate.
grrrrr... i will not be renewing!!!

Without details, this is good for vetting but not for anything else. Certainly not anything to use to offer any help.

As Bob says we would need information on what the popup was as to why it could possibly cause the loss of work.

However, it does suggest you need to be doing regular backups so you don't lose important work.  Even for other occurrences when data could be lost, loss of power, crash, etc.

GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! it just happened again today due to the avast cleanup upgrade notification....and i have do not disturb on these programs .... this notification is not important enough to popup....anywhere anytime...just email me these notices ... or better yet just give me my money back, get out of my computer and leave me alone!!!

ok how about i offer some advice then....STOP CAUSING POPUPS ON MY COMPUTER ! .... when my customers  "vet" i never say they are "just" vetting. i try to fix the problem...you saying that i have told you nothing that can help; shows me that you have no intention of respecting my privacy. i said a popup from your product caused my problem....so listen very carefully....STOP CAUSING POPUPS ON MY COMPUTER !!!!!! if you cant do that...what good are ya ? ....if you wont do that; you are not worth my time and certainly not my money

I like you am an Avast user. That's why I gave you a link to contact Avast customer support.
Explaining your problem to them, may result in a solution. Directing your anger at me isn't going to solve anything.
