Does Avast Antivirus have a whitelisting feature?
« on: January 20, 2019, 05:17:56 PM »
As the thread title states, does Avast whitelist files that have been previously scanned in order to improve performance so it won't rescan the same files again and again provided their hashes hasn't been changed?

Thanks for the links. I did read them. I can't find an option to enable Persistent Cache though in Avast, or is it enabled by default now?

Settings for this are now buried under:
Troubleshooting>Old Settings>Components>File Shield>Advanced

This was ticked on my settings, so believe that is the default setting.
