Delay in sending emails

I have Avast 19.1.2360 (build 19.1.4142.454).

Over the past few days I have noted there is anything up to a 60 second delay before an email will be "Sent". I have tried two emails programs....PocoMail, and Outlook. The same problem exists with both.

Is there "anything" in Avast that could cause the delay?
