I am having the same "White Screen" problem which began when I updated AVAST to 19.1.2360 (build 191.4142.0) on 4th January 2019.

I did a repair install which resolved the problem briefly. When the problem returned I performed another repair install. Again it fixed the problem briefly. It returned again so I did a full clean install on 26th January 2019 using the AVAST uninstall utility and following the instructions here: https://www.avast.com/en-gb/uninstall-utility
Yet again it only fixed the problem for a couple of days.

Today the problem has returned. If I look at avast icon in the system tray it says I am protected but I am not sure this is so.

If I try to launch the user interface I get a white screen. If I right click a file and chose scan nothing happens. If I right click the icon in the tray and try to select any of the options nothing happens.

I also performed a system file check and there were no errors. I am baffled as to what is causing this and how to resolve it. Do you have any other suggestions on what to try next?

I am running Windows 10 Professional 64-bit version 1803 (OS Build 17134.523)
Inel(R) Core i7-6700 CPU 3.4GHz
32GB memory
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB

I have different Antivirus installed in different PCs!

Automatic "Upgrade" is turned off for all of them!

Yet, Avast decided to upgrade itself without asking, 3 January 2019! (Good Job Avast!)

Since then, I'm having this white\blank screen problem\bug\issue constantly!

Sometimes, when white\blank screen bug occurs, if I right click a file and Choose to "scan with Avast" option,  "Windows Explorer" freezes, than "Windows Explorer" and "Avast" restart themselves after some minutes! (Problem seems to be fixed for a certain period of time)!

Rebooting the PC is the only solution to fix the problem!

31 January 2019, and this bug is still not fixed! (Great)

I myself don't recommend people to install Avast anymore!

Avast "Behavior Shield" is a pain in the ass! (I turned it off! It slows down pc, and blocks ".exe" files without even asking or notify!)

Avast "CyberCapture" is another pain in the ass! (I Turned it off too! Even when "Upload file to Avast Lab for deep analysis" option is unchecked, Avast keeps sending files to their servers!)

When I plug a "4 TB" Hdd, Avast freezes Windows OS (The Hdd needs to be unplugged in order to unfreeze windows os)

Believe me Avast, You are going in the wrong way!

Thanks!

(Win 7 64bit)

I have also mentioned that I have a similar problem with this latest version of Avast when it comes to scanning. My system looks like it freezes but that's because memory gets used up to the maximum 100%. It takes about an hour before the situation turns back to normal.

I'm also on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Another problem (which has been mentioned and acknowledged by Avast) is that sometimes it refuses to release USBs or external HDDs so you can't safely remove them.

I hope they fix all of this soon.

The white screen returned again today.

Again f I try to launch the user interface I get a white screen. If I right click a file and chose scan nothing happens. If I right click the icon in the tray and try to select any of the options nothing happens.

As per your request petr blatny I have archived the log files and emailed them directly to you.
