Everything is working fine! Good Work.  ;)
Just one question i can´t see the new option to check the current version anywhere.
Either right click the tray icon or via GUI -> Menu -> Info.

Old About Avast GUI has a different build number than does the newer GUI.

See attached below:

Which one is correct?

hello I found something in this new version after a clean install:
1/ unsecapp.exe is constantly running (since v19 was released) although Browser clean up tool is not installed (unsecapp is required for it to function according to avast dev long time ago)

2/ No PUP scan option in the new UI for File Shield or Core Shields. It's still available in the old UI though
It's also available exclusively in Virus Scans menu

3/ when choosing Hardened mode aggressive in the old UI, the hardened mode box in the new UI will be unchecked. It's only checked when HM is set to Moderate

4/ Warn when downloading files with poor reputation (web shield) is not functioning

thank you

Hi,
ad 2) see attached
ad 3) Hardened mode was in fact always moderate

Update Avast Free 19.1 to 19.2 went well. I have to say I have not suffered the Firefox https issues blighting some users posting here.

On the downside. I see the useless, unwanted and unselectable Sensitive Data Scan is a fixed feature within Smart Scan. I assume complaints about this over past months and sucessive updates have fallen on deaf ears within Avast. Smart Scan is no more than a marketing teaser for paid components. I will continue to treat it as such and avoid.

Has the USB disk grabbing problem (unable to eject) been fixed in this version?

Edit/Addition:
Just had a look at Software Updater. GUI has changed and the big green arrow no longer appears if all up-to-date, which was a excellent visual cue. This is now replaced by button to do a Scan for Updates. But scan was performed to get here, bit confusing why this button is now here on the results page. See screenshot.

Ah, Asyn you are too quick for me. I have just posted an edit to my post above to comment on Software Updater. You replied before I could finish typing.

Please, for the love of all that is good an holy in this world, remove the @#$% pop ups within chrome web browser for the password extension.  I mean seriously?  I am browsing a page, and all of a sudden a new tab opens, pushing your password extension in chrome?

Spam-ware.  I mean I get that I am using the free-ware at the moment but seriously?  This only started after the latest program update.  I did go in after and silenced alerts.  I dont mind the pop-ups with the free version at all.  This is overboard.  Kill this shit.

I have been a loyal avast subscriber for over 15 years at this point.

There are settings in the geek area that can be used to change what is scanned by the Smart Scan.

Someone was asking about changing the Smart Scan in a different topic.
