No because you'll retain your beta status.
Right now there isn't any difference between the last beta and the current release.

Keeping in mind that if/when Program Update settings are set to "automatic update" the beta channel updates the installation automatically without prior notification. As well I believe(?) backend modifications can occur unannounced on the beta channel

Just found my Windows10 machine with an Avast splash screen saying we have just updated to 19.2 and did I want to install Chrome etc. I had 19.2.2364 build 429 before and the change was to build 430. So why the automatic update and splash screen?
I was totally taken back as I have automatic updates turned off, so do not expect any program updates to be implemented automatically at all.

So what is going on with automatic updates occuring when they have been turned off in the UI ?

Note. This "automatic" Avast update to 19.2.2364 (build 19.2.4186.430) coincided with a Windows10 update which required a restart tonight.

I believe this was a bug fix that (occurring in a VPS update), hence only a small incremental update in the build number. So not a full program update, which your manual program setting would have worked.

For the update to actually take effect it requires a reboot, this obviously occurred after the windows update required/initiated reboot.

I uninstalled the Beta and installed the stable version.  The only scan I can do is the Smart Scan.  How can I do a quick scan?

Hi Bev, as you've so many questions, it's probably better to start your own new topic.

Hello,
I need advice. Suddenly my Avast premium doesn't work. No firewall and passwords. Can't even log on to my account. It say "Loading...this shouldn't take long", nothing happens though.

Thanks in advance
Annika

Again, like about a year ago, Avast Internet Security, after the update on 02.06.2019, computers on the local network became inaccessible! In this case, the Internet works. Support does not respond. On a working computer - Windows 10, on two other Windows XP, files are stored on one, a printer is connected to another, for which Windows 10 does not have drivers. Now I do not have access to my files or print. Full paralysis. Thank you very much Avast, you are the best for my money!  I wrote twice in support, no answer! :-\

@pavelbulava,
If you have Avast Firewall on Avast Internet Security and you are using the computer on your office or home LAN (i.e. not on a Public network) then check the Firewall is set to "Private". Default is fail-safe to "Public"which is more restrictive.

Repair Avast:
1. Avast GUI -> Settings -> Troubleshooting
2. Click on 'REPAIR APP'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.
