Hello,
I need advice. Suddenly my Avast premium doesn't work. No firewall and passwords. Can't even log on to my account. It say "Loading...this shouldn't take long", nothing happens though.

Thanks in advance
Annika
Repair Avast:
1. Avast GUI -> Settings -> Troubleshooting
2. Click on 'REPAIR APP'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is Avast GUI and where can I find it?

Sorry  :-[

Hi
The Avast GUI is the Program "User Interface"

You can "Right Click" on the Avast Icon in the Bottom Taskbar and choose 'Open Avast User Interface' at the top.
The GUI will open. (See attached Screenshot)
Once opened then go to Menu/ Settings/ Troubleshooting and choose "Repair" (See Screenshot)
As Asyn stated, follow instructions :)

So has anyone noticed the Avast UI window is extremely laggy when moved around the desktop? Try grabbing the window and doing little circles with the mouse and you'll feel what I mean. I thought at first it was something to do with my setup (recently added a G Sync monitor) but it is also present on two other PCs that just had windows clean installed on them.....

Kinda strange its happening on 3 separate PCs all with different hardware configs

Edit- should probably add they are all Intel/Nvidia systems with Windows v1809. I have an Intel/AMD laptop with v1803 and avast doesnt experience the issue im referring too. And that upon opening the Avast UI It takes around 5-7 seconds of spinning before the slowdown occurs. Now who is going to sit there and spin a window for 7 seconds during actual use.... but still figured Id point it out if others were experiencing it too.

No, no issue.  But then again, moving an avast window is not something necessary or related to proper operation of their program, so not something I do anyway....

For me I would say moving the monster AvastUI out of the way is a pretty reasonable action, as for dragging it round in circles, not so reasonable.  I would also love to be able to resize the monster UI (my pet hate) and relocate it permanently so I don't have to resize and move it again every time it is opened.

Well I'll just throw my ?cents worth in while we're on the subject

The Avast GUI development has been IMHO their weakest element>  Design, Color/s, Size, Not Resizeable, Glitchy, Resources used (just kills my XP when Initiated).
Just my opinion from my experiences with other Security Software over the years. :)

I have the same experience and it even kept moving after I stopped moving my mouse, although only for a second or so.
