Yes Avast is aware of this issue. I have sent logs that were requested.
I have the same issue "at times" and does take a Reboot to clear it.
I have been informed it appears to be some kind of "Deadlock in the GUI".
The cause is unknown as of yet as the issue still appears on both my Win 10 OS's
This issue has been plaguing me since mid-December 2018 :-\

Windows 7 x64 sp1 MB Premium with Avast Free.

Avast UI white and unresponsive.

I have this issue since the 2nd last update. Avast unresponsive when I click on short cut or tray icon. When it slowly appears after trying to open it again it is all white or partially white. It can hang other apps when trying to use them while the UI is open and white.

Same issue is on two drives, both windows 7 x64 sp1, with one a clean windows 7, fully patched and clean AVAST install.

What logs do you need?
How do I go about gathering logs for Avast?

True. Software updater is not seeing latest version of CCleaner that is available to download.
Well, not yet anyway.

Hi,
I have Avast Internet Security and since not this last update, put the one before the bar of antispam in Outlook isn't shoowing and altough i've bought a license/software with a anti-spam shield is not working.
I was informed that in the next release that issue will be fixed but the sure is that is not true.
My laptpop is working with Windows 10 and Office 2010.
I've paid for a full pack of feature and one of them isn't working i think that Avast should it fixed that quickly.
Thank you in advance.

See if this helps.
Open Outlook 2010.
Then   File>Options>Add-Ins
You may see Avast Add-in listed under Inactive Application Add-ins.
At bottom of Outlook Options window, see  Manage [COM Add-ins] click [  Go…  ]
Check against the Avast Add-in.
Restart Outlook.

Should I post the zipped folder in this thread, the linked white screen thread or email it to <removed email address>

1.  You can't attach/post the zipped files in the forums only images and text files allowed.  If you happen to change the file type to say .txt it just corrupts the archive.

2.  You should remove the email address displayed publicly in the forums.

You can email it to that address or upload it to a file sharing site and post the url in your next reply.  Emailing is possibly the better option as it doesn't rely on Petr seeing/being notified of the reply and downloading it.

Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Yes that's correct. As Petr requested,
"May I ask for logs when white UI appears - send them directly to me: petr.blatny@avast.com, pack/zip this folder please: c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log\"

I can't even get to repair because, when I click on the Avast icon it says "loading...this shouldn't take long" and just sits there
