Avast Premier

Avast Premier won't run.  Avast Driver Updater and Avast Cleanup still ok.
I double click on icon or single click from taskbar (PC Windows 10) but only a blank white rectangle appears.
It has been running well for over six months but now seems corrupted. 
How can I fix this?

Are you using a VPN ??? If you are, it's a known problem that should be fixed soon.
Right now the fix is to uninstall the firewall portion of the product.

There are similar reports of this 'white screen' since December with some users including myself.,
Apparently there is a "deadlock" ocurring in the GUI for unknown (at this point) reasons. Avast is and has been working on the issue.
