hanmark:
What to do with a threatening and blackmailing hacker?

Asyn:
Provide details...

hanmark:
An unknown person sent me the following mailtext (Spam):
This account was infected! Change your pswd immediately!
You may not know anything about me and you are definitely interested for what reason you're receiving this electronic message, right?
I am ahacker who crackedyour emailand devicestwo months ago.
It will be a time wasting to try out to contact me or alternatively look for me, it's hopeless, since I directed you a letter from YOUR own hacked account.
I have created malware to the adult vids (porn) site and suppose that you have visited this website to have a good time (think you understand what I really mean).
While you were taking a look at video clips, your internet browser started out operating like a RDP (Remote Control) having a keylogger that gave me permission to access your desktop and network camera.
Afterward, my applicationaquiredall data.
You have typed passwords on the websites you visited, I already caught them.
Needless to say, you could possibly change them, or perhaps already modified them.
However it does not matter, my app renews information every time.
What I have done?
I made a reserve copy of every your system. Of all files and each contact.
I formed a dual-screen video recording. The 1 screen reveals the video you were watching (you have got a very good taste, ha-ha...), the second screen demonstrates the tape from your own webcam.
What actually should you do?
Clearly, I believe, 1000 USD is basically a good price for our small secret. You will make your payment by bitcoins (if you don't recognize this, search “how to buy bitcoin” in any search engine).
My bitcoin wallet address:
1MU1dn3fwtCKJmycpxA8X9JnBoWBS9h21D
(It is cAsE sensitive, so copy and paste it).
Attention:
You will have 2 days in order to make the payment. (I built in an unique pixel in this message, and at the moment I know that you've read through this email).
To trackthe reading of a messageand the activityinside it, I set upa Facebook pixel. Thanks to them. (That whichcan be usedfor the authorities can helpus.)

If I fail to get bitcoins, I will immediately give your video files to each of your contacts, such as relatives, co-workers, and many more?

Known scam, you can safely ignore it.

Edit: Avast Hack-Check: https://www.avast.com/hackcheck

MrDJ:
as said, ignore it. i had this a few months back.

strangely enough the password that was in the header of my email was from this very forum that was hacked back in 2014 with 423,000 members details leaked.

all it is is a new scammer has bought the list of hacked emails on the dark web and are trying their luck in scaring people into paying up.
they are not on your computer, they do not know what porn sites you may or may not have visited, they do not have access to your webcam.
pure and simple scam that you can ignore.

you can easily check all your email accounts which were on lists that were hacked.

enter your email it the text box and if screen stays green your email is safe. if it changes colour your email is one of the millions that could have been bought of lists that have been purchased for a few £/$ for millions of account details.
