Email Signature
« on: April 23, 2019, 11:12:29 PM »
Avast has taken it upon themselves to add a signature to the end of my emails advertising themselves.
I was not told of this, I did not want this and feel that this a a shady buisness practice.
As a university student getting ready to start a summer job, I doesn't look very profesional to have an ad for an antiviris software at the end of my emails. The only reason I still have avast installed is because it was easy to turn off.
I really hope that this is changed or at least that consumers are told of this because I have sent emails to my soon to be boss with your programs ads on them and this is just really shady
It was really hard to to swear while writing this because I find decisions like this really scummy and am fairly mad right now

You can choose/change that behavior by going to Protection/ Core Shields Settings then Mail Shield
Uncheck the 'add signature' option.
