Projecting the computer to the laptop
« on: March 11, 2019, 05:16:21 PM »
I have an HP all-in-one desktop computer and an HP laptop, both new. Both using Avast Pro antivirus.

I want to use my laptop as a second monitor using Windows 10 "Projecting this PC".

Avast Pro prevents this. If I turn both antivirus programs off, the problem disappears.

My subscription expires in five more days. If I haven't resolved this problem, I will have to try another antivirus program.

Any help out there?

Thanks

Are you actually getting any error messages ?

I don't use Avast Pro, but doesn't it have the Avast Firewall ?
If so and you are using it, ensure that you have the firewall profile set to Private and not Public (the default) and that should allow all of your local network connections.
