NEW TO THIS SO PLEASE EXCUSE ANY ERRORS...I USE THUNDERBIRD AS OUR EMAIL CLIENT ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT WINDOWS 7 MACHINES FROM BOTH OUR OFFICE AND MOBILE CELLULAR HOTSPOT LOCATIONS. HAVE TROUBLE WITH MAINTAINING CONNECTIONS AND GET AN ERROR "CONNECTION TO YOUR IMAP SERVER HAS DISCONNECTED, THE SERVER MAY HAVE GONE DOWN OR THERE MAY BE NETWORK PROBLEM". IF I TURN OFF THE SHIELDS IN AVAST THE PROBLEM IS INSTANTLY CURED BUT I AM OBVIOUSLY UNPROTECTED. SAME WHEN SENDING EMAILS FREQUENTLY LOSES CONNECTION TO MY OUTGOING SERVER. IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO SELF REMEDY BUT DOESN'T STAY, WHAT SHOULD TAKE A FEW SECONDS TO COMPLETE SOMETIMES TAKES SEVERAL MINUTES. CAN TECH SUPPORT PLEASE SEE IF THEY CAN DUPLICATE AND FIND A SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE.

Would you please use your Shift-key for upper & lower cases? Better to read.
