Avast and Filezilla
« on: March 19, 2019, 08:35:11 PM »
Today I had to backup about 1.5 TB of data from an external HDD plugged into USB 3.0 on my Win 10/64 PC to a Thecus NAS. Used Filezilla client in order to perform the task. Everything went well for a while, untill Filezilla and short after that the whole PC crashed because of low disk space on drive C:.
The issue was caused by Avast, because it created a huge, aground 40GB log file, located in C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log. The only way that allowed me to do the job was to disable the Avast shield during the backup.
I use Avast free antivirus, up to date.

Unfortunately it was necessary to delete the file, in order to make the PC work again.
