Price of subscription renewal incorrect
« on: March 15, 2019, 11:43:49 PM »
I've been holding off on renewal of my Avast Internet Security subscription because $60/yr is too high, imo.  They started offering me a discount of $29.99/yr yesterday, which I'm willing to pay, so I click on the Renew Now button and then the Select $29.99/year button under my current product, Avast Internet Security:

But when the Choose Your Subscription Length page comes up, the price is now $39.99 / yr:

And the payment page also shows $39.99.

So what's up with the price discrepancy?  Is the discount offer of $30 actually valid?

I have the similar problem.
In my Email for renewal, it says 49.99$

When I click on the Renew now button and I am forwarded to the website, now it is 69.99$

If I do not have a fix soon, I will be obliged to go with another company.  The service expires in 13 days.

I would cancel the auto-renewal and shop for the best price.
Amazon has it for 29.99 :)

Whilst it is always good to shop around for the best price, care has to be taken to ensure you are getting a legit deal (Amazon is probably OK).  But there are many other sources that aren't legit, the old adage of 'if it looks to good to be true, it probably is.'

I would certainly agree with the cancel the auto-renewal as that deal is possibly the worst option/deal about, the first deal 30-60% off might sound great (and legit) but renewals are at normal price (not so good).  Why Avast don't have a renewal discount for auto renewals, just doesn't seem good when better deals are available elsewhere (even from avast).
