My partner installed Avast three days ago and immediately started to have serious issues with it.  Apart from no longer being able to print from any computer on our network, now he has discovered that all of his PDF's (which are important documents) will no longer save properly.

He opens a PDF form and tries to save it with another name (it is a form we re-use) it will not do that.

This is a major problem.  We have uninstalled AVAST, but the problems continue and we have no idea what to do.

We need to get all trace of Avast off his computers so that he can stop spending his time on problems and get back to work.

Hi lcfraser,
the issue with printer might be connected to firewall - try to change profile.
To Pdf do you have Ransomware Shield component and if yes in which mode  it runs ?
