I read on a forum that there is a "new" virus circulating through email called "Xombe". It is send to internet-users by email by offering a fake windows xp patch.

According to the bulletin where i read this news, it places a file called "msvchost.exe" in your windows system folder. If installed it downloads stuff from a unknown site, so you are vulnerable for DoS attacks.
This file is a common name for XP services running in the background.
I am using Windows 2000 Pro SP4,...are there similar fake patches for this one too? Or is this simply affecting XP users?
