Latest version of Avast Free (19.3.2369) prevents Windows disk error checking.

Running Win 7 Pro. Periodically (every month or so), I schedule a Windows disk error check to be run on my next boot.  My last error check (3 days ago) reported that a recently installed program (not named) generated an error that prevented Windows from running the disk check. After some troubleshooting on my part, I determined that the latest version of Avast Free was causing the problem (disabling Avast allowed Windows to complete the disk check). Previous versions of Avast Free did not cause this problem.
Clearly, I don't want to disable Avast to be able to run this error check. Is there a fix available for this issue, or perhaps some Avast settings that require changing?

If this is exactly the same this is being addressed and is in the current 19.4.2371 and hopefully should soon be released in the 19.4 program update.

Thanks for the info, David. Looks like the same problem. I'll wait for the Avast update.
