Avast is blocking all (Mac) YahooMail images with above-mentioned phishing warning. Happens in multiple YahooMail accounts in both Firefox (with extensions disabled and cache cleared) and Chrome. Same message opens normally in Hotmail. YahooMail and Avast are not playing nicely.

So glad I am not the only one with this problem.  But its annoying because every time avast blocks it, I get a pop up in the middle of my screen covering whatever I am currently doing and this horrible klaxon sound that is so loud it scares my dog.

I've saved a screen shot of this for reference if anyone needs it.  But according to my Avast notifications listing, this started today around 5:01pm (EST).

I'm having the same problem--the only email that doesn't have this warning pop up is from Yahoo.  Started a couple hours ago.  Avast please fix this problem.

Has been reported to Avast, this does look like a likely error in the virus database

Reported to Avast. Hopefully someone is still on duty. It's also the weekend.
For those interested, Avast purchased AVG some time ago so, this may also affect AVG users.

Having the same problem, the problem started today and the only temporary fix I found was to disable the shields, can't find the setting that can correct the problem so I activated 360 security on chrome extensions temporarily.

tO UPdate you click on the Avast icon, click menu, settings and then you'll see update as the second item.

Same issue with Windows 10 (64-Bit). Yahoo! Mail is effectively unusable at the moment.

Precisely the same problem, using Windows 10. This is a colossal pain in the butt. And given the number of posts from different people with different systems, it seems seems pretty clear this is a problem with Avast.

(Updated virus definitions, reinstalled Avast itself, shut down and rebooted system - all to no avail.)

Same thing happening here, on both Firefox and Chrome.  Windows 10 64 bit, and yahoo mail.  Outlook, and Gmail works fine.  Looks like Yahoo p'od Avast lol,  I have to confirm some things with my yahoo mail and can't.  Will someone make an announcement letting us know it is being worked on and when a fix should be expected?
