VPN won't go online

I have a license until June 16th, 2019, and it says active, but every time I try to turn on the vpn, it turns off instantly, and pops up to either buy or get a 7 day free trial.
This is after a reinstall.

Hi tracyfourez,

It appears that this is happening because you do not have the correct license - I'm afraid that I cannot locate an Avast SecureLine VPN license associated with the email address you have registered with on the forum.

The license that is associated with your email address is for Avast Internet Security (valid until June 16th 2019). This is a paid version of our Antivirus application - it does not include the VPN service.
