An attempt has been made to enter a protected area of Avast
« on: April 09, 2019, 04:27:53 PM »
Hi everybody,

(I tried to search for this but the search did not seem to work.  I have seen a related entry from 2015 in an internet wide search and wanted to know if there has been anything posted more recently)

This keeps coming up, and I am a bit concerned. I have attached a screenshot, and also one of a Windows 10 notification, which perhaps my be what is trying to enter?

The only solutions I have seen is the uninstall and reinstall? Is this a bug?  Anybody else have this happen to them recently?
(It doesn't help that I am getting calls from the Microsoft scammers who say my computer is sending error messages... coincidence?... paranoid)

Thank you in advance!

I appreciate that...  I do know my password.  I was just concerned about what the hay is going on with the attempt.  Is there anywhere I can see what is trying to access that area?

Have you got any other security based applications ?

Do you have any cleanup style applications, like CCleaner, etc. and they could be trying to clear files from avast locations ?
