win32:malware-gen on MACBOOK
« on: April 14, 2019, 02:55:54 PM »
Hello,

I did a scan on my macbook and found win32:malware-gen
It was in an outlook map with attachments (olk15msgattachments)
When i click on details it says wirelesskeyview.zip en wirelessukeyview.exe

Do i have to worry about this?
I am a little bit worried for my pictures en documents.
I hope not it is ransomware.
But i can't know for sure that i am safe after deleting.

Can someone tell me?
Thanks
ps. Sorry for my english :)

I have already deleted the file. I'm a bit worried about it.
I'm afraid that something will be infected like my jpg files or webcam that has been captured. I name a few concerns
I have little knowledge of it and now just cannot rule out that something is playing on my macbook. I really don't notice anything, but still ...
It is something with win32 that reassures me a bit, but still
Can someone reassure me?  :)

If you did not run the file nothing will happen

Even if you tried to run the file likely nothing would happen, windows executables are no threat to a Mac  ;)
