avast stops me from downloading from a site I have used for ages

on hxtps://www.deviantart.com/ whenever I try to download a file.


I keep getting : weve safely aborted connection on aip-da.wixmp.com because it is infected with url:blacklist

Yesterday's safe site can be todays infected site.

Just to clarify, I do not have any problem with navigating the site, the threat message only comes up when i hit the download button on any of the pages.

Strange, I cannot reproduce it. Can you try if the issue persists, and if so, can you check what link is opened (and blocked by Avast) when you click download? Easiest should be by reading source code (CTRL+U)
