login black box
« on: April 22, 2019, 09:22:58 PM »
Whenever I log into my Plusnet account I get a horrible black box appearing at the bottom right hand side of the screen. It asks me to choose a private or public network and run a scan. I login and out many times a day, this box is quite large and doesn't switch off unless I click on the X. Is there a way of stopping this?

Change your Avast Firewall settings to Private if you're connecting from home or another secure location.

Another setting to check is here:

Protection>Firewall>Settings>Search>Geek:Area>Press Enter

-->Scroll down to Firewall.  Geek:Area is new.

Automatic Profile Switching will change the default Public Firewall Setting to Private automatically.  Use this setting if you are always connecting to a trusted home or work network.  Unticking the box for notifications about automatic switching will remove the box you see from popping up every time you connect.
