PCI-DSS
« on: July 03, 2019, 08:56:25 PM »
Dear, good afternoon.

In our company we are going through the PCI-DSS certification process.
Is there an AVAST document or certificate that says that it meets the requirements of PCI?

I mean something like this document that shows Kaspersky: https://media.kaspersky.com/en/business-security/enterprise/kesb-pci-dss-3-2-mapping-eng.pdf

Already grateful for the information.

Regards!

Please reference https://pcicompliance.stanford.edu/sites/g/files/sbiybj7706/f/5._changing_of_vendor_supplied_default_settings_policy_0.pdf. PCI focuses more on intrusion prevention/detection, etc., which is better handled by a hardware firewall appliance in addition to running an updated antivirus, but antiviruses themselves are or are not PCI compliant. So you could run any antivirus as long as it's updated frequently, but PCI focuses more so on intrusion prevention/detection handled by your hardware firewall appliance.
