Hi. i just did reinstall windows 7 on same machine after that avast business on premise console cant detect the client.

here is the log on the client side.

The description for Event ID 1 from source bcc cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Registration error: >Curl exception: URL >http://WIN-QPVS0CO70S0:8080/register< description >Couldn t resolve host name<<

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

This issue could be because the Avast Business Management (on-premise) Console could be too busy with other requests. However, try this...
  • On the local device, temporarily disable all of the Avast Shields
  • Also temporarily the Avast Self-Defense Module under Menu > Settings > General > Troubleshooting
  • Open C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\conf\bcc.cgf file in a text editor, such as Notepad
  • On the base line, change the host name to the static IP address
  • Save the file in the text editor
  • Re-enable the Avast Shields and the Self-Defense Module
  • Restart the device
  • Try again and test if issue persists
If the issue persists, we may need for you to create a case at https://www.avast.com/business-support-contact

I did try that and change the hostname to the static IP address on the server side.

I  create a case already but i got no reply.

i just notice some of our device are not recognize anymore by the server or the device cant connect to server.
i thought if the icon is green it is connected like the old manage console.

i turn off the windows firewall for both device and server but still cant connect

on the device side here is the event log.

What's your case number?

Please verify that your on-premise console is the latest version (currently Version 6.0.14). If not, please download/save/run firectly from https://www.avast.com/download-thank-you.php?product=BMS-DOWNLOAD to upgrade.

Try changing the on-premise console server's host name to it's static IP address following these instructions below...
  • Browse to C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Management Console\console\config
  • Edit the application-user-config.yml file in a text editor such as Notepad
  • Change the device's host name to the static IP address
  • Save the file
  • Reboot the server
Please also see the Avast Business Managed Troubleshooting Guide for more information.

On one of these devices having the issue, please try performing a clean reinstall?
  • Remove and uninstall the device in the on-premise console
  • If applicable, uninstall the local Avast Business Antivirus Managed client in Control Panel
  • Download/save/run the Avast Clear Uninstall Utility from https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
  • When prompted, restart into Safe Mode
  • After restarting in Safe Mode, allow the Avast Clear Uninstall Utility to run
  • When prompted again, restart device back into Normal Mode
  • Download/save/run the latest Avast Business Antivirus Managed installer from the on-premise console
