« on: May 02, 2019, 03:11:20 PM »
Hello. Unfortunately I have lost my email for me to activate sync for my passwords. Would it be possible to reset my sync so I can create a new activation please :P?

Thanks,

Hi Harry,

I can reset this for you now. Can I just ask you to confirm that you aware that resetting the sync will delete any Passwords information that we have saved in the cloud for you?

Hey, sorry. Would I still be able to save my passwords locally and sync them later, or would that delete them too?

If you had no problems starting all over, you could have simply done a clean install.
I personally use both Avast PW mgr and LastPass. One backs up the other. :)

Hi Norbert!

I tried everything and nothing works. Clean installs, repairs, system restores, nothing! I made an Avast reinstall some days ago and that's when this nightmare started. I've been glued to my chair for days trying to solve this. I'm desperate!!!!!

Avast Pasword Manager is not working (Huge red triangle every time I try to open it). It says it's a temporary error, but it happens every time I try.

So, Chrome is not saving any passwords and I need to retype them every time I close my browser. And there are many passwords for every tab I use for work every day.
Chrome asks to save the passwords and it seems that it saves them, but it doesn't. When you click to see the saved passwords, it's all empty.

I've been watching your Avast videos on YouTube, but it seems that your videos and tips are referred to an old version of Free Avast and I can't follow their instructions.

I'm having this huge problem and have tried literally everything to solve it. Nothing helps! I'm constantly logged out of my Google account and all other sites I have in tabs every time I close Chrome and that's related to Chrome not saving the passwords. I tried everything from cleaning cookies, uninstalling, reinstalling, going back to original Chrome configuration, doing a system restore, disabling and re-enabling Chrome settings. Nothing works.

Can you please help???

Thanks!

Hi,
I've replied to your Youtube inquiry. There's also a brand new video, https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=93544.msg1506917#msg1506917
Let me know if that fixes things.

Hi Valentina45,

Can I ask you to post a screenshot of the error message you are seeing in Avast Passwords? This will help me to identify what might be causing the issue.

If you're not sure how to take a screenshot, please take a look at this guide on our support website.

Once you have the screenshot, you can attach it to your forum post by clicking the "Attachments and other options" link under the text box when you type your post > click the "choose file button" and select the file.
