VPN Icon not showing on iPhone Xs

Using SecureLine version 5.6.0 (current) on new iPhone Xs. VPN is connected,  but the VPN icon next to the WiFi icon at the top of the phone is not showing, so it is difficult to tell if the VPN is connected. No problems on iPhone 8. Please help.
