I had Avast free anti-virus installed when I bought this Windows 7 machine. I signed up fro Avast Premiera and Windows Driver Updating tool.
Somehow I downloaded a copy of the Avast exe file to upgrade I assume.
But I cannot open or run the exe file.
It asks me to open it so I used IE Explorer. The browse list didn't offer much help.
Nothing happens in exe. Still can't get to run.
I tried the tech support number but nobody answered. Just hold. I can't afford to waste minutes on hold.
Should I delete and start over.
I did manage to activate the existing Avast file using the code they sent me. I tried to start Avast. It said this will take a few minutes but I got nothing after an hour.
I wish they had tech support.
Any suggestions.
