Avast Service consuming all Disk cycles...

For some reason, the Avast Service is now starting to consume all of my Disk cycles, per Task Manager (i.e., Disk is at 100% due to Avast Service).  Has anyone else seen this?  What needs to be done to stop this from happening?

Do Repair Avast:
1. Avast GUI -> Settings -> Troubleshooting
2. Click on 'REPAIR APP'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.
