BETA testing - Overview & Download links

Welcome to our Avast Secure Browser beta testing program.

Beta testing is an important phase of the software development life-cycle. The goal of beta testing is to improve product quality and confidence. We give our forum community a chance to get new version of Avast Secure Browser before it is officially released to our user base.

How to participate in the beta program?

1. Download the Avast Secure Browser Beta and run installation: https://beta-download.avastbrowser.com/external/avast_secure_browser_setup.exe

OR

If you are already an Avast Anti-Virus Beta user and your Avast Secure Browser was installed as part of it or you installed it on your own afterwards, the browser should use beta channel automatically.

2. After installation, please visit secure://settings/help - you should see (beta) beside the product version - this indicates that you are on the beta channel.



3. On beta channel we usually release new versions a few days before an official release. Updates are being delivered automatically, that means that your browser should be always running on the latest version.

Your feedback is much appreciated. Please always create a new thread for your feedback. We will be glad to hear both positive and negative feedback!

What to do when you find a bug?

If you find any bug or issue, please make a new thread in this forum section (Beta). Always mention important information such as:

• Product version
• Operating system
• Anti-Virus version

We recommend attaching Diagnostic Information output. You can get it by visiting this link: secure://settings/diagnosticInfo



If you have a problem with Bank Mode, please also attach szb.log which is usually located here: c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log\


If you want to switch from beta to the stable channel, then please uninstall the Avast Secure Browser Beta version and install the latest stable version from the official website: https://www.avast.com/secure-browser
Keep in mind that if you use Avast Antivirus Beta, you always get Avast Secure Browser Beta.
