Choosing which issues to resolve
« on: May 10, 2019, 06:21:30 PM »
I'm a new Avast user & have the free version on Windows XP, SP-3.  After I ran a scan, the results showed no viruses, but said:
Bad browser add-ons
Issues on your network
Performance issues found

The only option given is a single button to "Resolve".
I would like to see what Avast is considering before deciding to make changes.  Is there a way to see the changes before "resolving" them.

Thank you in advance,
Windows XP Pro SP-3
Avast Free:
Version 18.8.2356 (Build 18.8.4084.409)

Many of the recommended changes can only be made if you purchase Avast Cleanup.
Since you're running Windows XP, there are probably going to be many items since Windows XP is no longer supported
and many items in that OS are outdated and unsafe.

Thank you both for your quick replies.  I apologize for not responding sooner.  I thought that I would automatically be notified of replies & didn't see the icon in the lower left side of my post that would let me get email notification.

I was able to click the "resolve items" & get a new windows listing them.  And, yes, there are many items I can't resolve, even if I wanted to, as WinXP isn't supported.  Even Avast only gives virus updates.

Just as an antique car eventually runs out of replacement parts, so does your ancient operating system.
