IMO Avast should include this extension in the AV package as David R suggested.
Hi, in fact, AOS is included in the AV package (if you don't deselect it via custom install).
I cannot find it.
Here's a screenshot. (German UI)
Thank you Asyn for that. I am on Avast FREE and it is not included.
You're welcome. AOS is included in Avast Free as well.

Sorry to be a pain Asyn, but I cannot find AOS anywhere in my protection.

Hi, best you wait for Dave, he has Avast free and can (hopefully) confirm it.

If I go back to the subject from the beginning, it doesn't seem that wittmann44's problem is not having the AOS extension integrated into avast (I think it has it, and it's enabled, since it's present on some browsers)

My default browser is Chrome using Windows 10 and I have installed this extension on my Opera and Firefox
secondary browsers.
... but does not appear on ASB ?

I could not find a download for this extension for my Avast Secure Browser.

👍👍👍

I really can't speak from personal experience as I don't use ASB on any of my systems, since it can't be installed on all of them (no XP/Vista support), I haven't installed it on my win10 system.

Well I would say it is there (as an option) in the AvastUI Settings > General > Troubleshooting > Add/Modify Components as a selectable option (so would be there in a custom install).  But as in the case of wittmann44 it doesn't appear to be doing the same as in other browsers.

e.g. as mentioned it isn't shown as an installed Add-on in ASB.  The ASB may well have most of the functionality of the AOS add-on built in, but it doesn't show s an installed Add-on in ASB. Nor does it have AOS embedded in the search results.

Hello David, thanks for all your helpful comments.
My situation is now solved and settled thanks to this thread.
1. I have now got AOS on all my browsers including ASB.
2. AOS is included in the premium version of Avast's AV program.
3. I only have the FREE version of Avast AV
4. AOS is NOT included in the FREE version and has to be installed as a separate extension.
