No guarantee of privacy protection when this product constantly goes off and on, at this point I feel like its a rip off

 No issues here. Not sure could be a number of possibilities.
Have you tried different Server locations offered?
Also Firewall settings? Also your internet provider?

@schmidthouse,

If the internet provider is breaking the internet connection for whatever reasons, ASL will break every time also.  A loss of connectivity will cause ASL to reconnect.
Windows 10 Home 64-bit 22H2 Avast Premier Security version 24.1.6099 (build 24.1.88821.762)  UI version 1.0.797
 UI version 1.0.788.  Windows 11 Home 23H2 - Windows 11 Pro 23H2 Avast Premier Security version 24.2.6105 (build 24.1.8918.827) UI version 1.0.801

@schmidthouse,

That is correct. That's why I mentioned to the OP to check his internet(provider)
It's also possible that a firewall can cause ASL to not connect/disconnect and Server location issues as well.
A number of possibilities with the internet connection being the most probable. :)

This is one feature Avast vpn is missing that's commonly found with other vpns: the ability to disconnect your internet connection when the vpn gets disconnected.

Avast really should have introduced a killswitch feature a long time ago.
