5-23 update
« on: May 24, 2019, 05:04:47 AM »
Updated, then restarted.

I seems to be fine but the icon on my task bar keeps showing a red X on the bottom left of the icon. I can't locate anything wrong. Is it just a bugged icon or...?

Repair Avast:
1. Avast GUI -> Settings -> Troubleshooting
2. Click on 'REPAIR APP'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

Some users are reporting more than one restart or reboot is required to sort things.

I did the repair and restart gig, nada.

On a whim I did a scan. Browser was fine, 8 programs that I didn't want to update showed up, skip, red warning vanished.

Welp... yea. XD

Something new was added.. SCARY!  :o

I had this but it cleared after doing a scan of a small file. I did have problems with the original update and had the "sorry something went wrong stuff" and had to reboot etc.
Unfortunately today when I went to do my full virus scan it wouldn't do one so I did repair , reboot etc to no avail. I have had to uninstall and then reinstall avast but at least things are ok at the moment.

If Repair doesn't fix the problem, try the following:
If your Avast settings are not the default settings and you want them restored after the Clean Install, follow this before removing Avast.
