Custom test cannot be edited or deleted.

A custom test that was created long ago cannot be edited or deleted. There is only a possibility of setting in the item more (three dots), there is no possibility to delete there. When I click on the test settings, it opens general test settings.

Exactly what 'custom test' are you referring too?
What Avast product and version?
What OS?

I would suggest that the OP is talking about a Custom Scan.

You appear to have been able to access it via the AvastUI > Protection > Virus Scans > Custom Scans - and you found what I did.

I have just checked one I created to cater for the old Quick Scan, the three ... dots menu, unfortunately there is only one item Settings and there doesn't appear to be any delete option in the Settings.  I'm sure it used to be there before as an option in the drop down menu from the three dots.  An omission to my mind that needs to be resolved.

However, in those settings there is a frequency option I have that set to Never (e.g. manually) and run if you want to run it.

I only installed Avast a couple of days ago, and that non-deletable Quick Scan under Custom Scans is there for me. I'm sure I read something somewhere in all the Help documentation I read through saying it is included by default on install as an example custom scan.

Well I can definitely remember creating it when this style of UI (with no Quick Scan) first came in back with Avast 18.x.xxxx and presumably remained along with my settings.  That said, if it is created by default (why the hell wouldn't be up front with the other Scans), it could account for it not being able to be deleted.

You are correct in that there was a delete option in older versions, but that seems to have been removed or omitted in the present version.  Likely a bug.
