What's new
A cleaner goodbye - If you ever uninstall us (gasp!), we now do a better job of removing all our files

That means Avastclear no longer required for complete uninstallation?

I've posed that question to the Avast developers. Let's see what they have to say. :)

Will it Even Remove left over Oversteer file that remains in task manager when uninstall Avast?   Not that I plan on uninstalling anytime soon, just curious on that aspect

Hi Asyn and NON, could you please send us debug logs? Currently we are not able to reproduce the issue.
Sure, let us know what you'd need exactly.
If you could please enable debug logs, induce the problem with disabling components. Then please send AvastSvc.log and AvastUI.log files from c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log\ folder to me (via slack for example). Thank you.
Done.
Done for System Win 7.

TerraX
Done.

I think you meant overseer.exe

Yes did, Meant Oversteer task, and the oversteer.exe file

Not that I plan on uninstalling Avast Free anytime soon,  Tried out Defender a bit after finished upgrading to 1903, then I decided to reinstall Avast Free on all the systems, and all is well

I am uninstalling Avast regularly when new version of Avast come to prevent automatic installing new bloat during program update. So without using avastclear it should be faster.

Thanks for the logs, Asyn, TerraX and NON. Could I ask you to reproduce it once more and note down the exact time it happened for you and send it along with the logs? Also does it happen for you repeatedly and at any time after the service starts up? The brief dialog you may be seeing, is it really the self-defense one?

Thanks for all the info.
